Brain cancer remains one of the most complex and devastating diseases impacting Australians.
Biointelect supported Brain Tumour Alliance Australia (BTAA) in developing the landmark report the Australian Brain Cancer Landscape 2025. This paper provides government, policymakers, and the broader community with a clear, evidence-based picture of brain cancer in Australia.
It highlights the profound health, economic, and social burden of brain cancer on patients, families, communities, and government. The paper examines the current state of research and clinical trials, clinical care, and support services and calls for urgent action across these three critical pillars, to improve outcomes for Australians diagnosed with brain cancer.
Biointelect conducted the underlying burden of disease analysis to establish a robust evidence base and engaged key stakeholders to create a comprehensive view of the current landscape.
Endorsed by the nine organisations that form the Australian Brain Tumour Collaborative (ABTC), the report was officially launched on 28 October 2025 at BTAA’s annual Head to the Hill event at Parliament House.
